Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help. We recently got some new machines with windows 10 and we would like to update the central store ( PolicyDefinition) folder on DC to the latest windows 10 version so we could also. which can only be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog: Windows 8.1, Windows Server. Group Policy is used to control 1200 windows 7 clients. Microsoft pulls problematic Windows updates that break Hyper-V and more.
Please see details from: Recommendations for managing Group Policy administrative template (.adm) files Hi All, We currently have 4 DC running server 2008 R2 which we are looking to upgrade next year to server 2016. Only the visibility of the policy settings in Group Policy Object Editor is affected. However, the policy settings will remain active in the GPO. This has the potential to present an earlier subset of the ADM files, resulting in policy settings no longerīeing visible to administrators when they use Group Policy Object Editor. However, in some situations, an operating system or service pack release may include a subset of the ADM files that was provided with earlier releases. Group policy template file is only used to display group policy settings in the GPMC or gpeditor, upgrading adms files would not affect existing GPO settings which are applied to clients.
